1969 Mercedes Benz 280SL SL

Proud to offer for sale a one family owned 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL.  The excellent condition driver has only 46k original miles and has been in the same family since it was originally purchased by the current owners mother right here in Northern California.  Other than an aftermarket audio head unit and A/C this survivor is completely unmodified.  It was repainted the same factory code color roughly 30 years ago after being keyed by a local crazy person.  Service records dating back to 1999 are available including the most recent service which was completed less than 3 months ago.  No bondo, no filler and since this is a garage kept California car there is no rust.

SL Pagodas. The name is derivative from the car's high and sleek roof that, if seen from the sides, looks as if it just hung over the rest of the car having been linked to the rest of the body only through the tonneau and a slim B-pillar that looks rather like a design element. These exotic coupes were available with a soft-top and removable hard-top with the latter having also been dubbed as the "California Coupe". All models came equipped with an inline six-cylinder petrol unit, rear-wheel drive and a live rear axle.
