We are offering this numbers matching 1971 Targa for sale for the first time since the original family purchased it new from Porsche in 1971

Our shop performed a thorough inspection including a compression test at the time of consignment. All cylinders read 170-175 psi. The 901 gearbox shifts nicely with the addition of a new shift bushing. The clutch assembly was replaced at 74k miles by our shop. At the same time we performed an oil service, replaced the batteries, belt, oil lines, muffler gasket and a hot air hose. After sitting the last year on a battery tender, 2 of the brake calipers were dragging. We rebuilt all 4 calipers and performed an oil service

Recently, the car was cosmetically restored. The paint was stripped to bare metal and resprayed in it's original Light Ivory. At this time new all new weatherstrip and gaskets were installed. New correct carpets were installed and the front seats were reupholstered in Tan Leatherette, matching the original spec. The engine, gearbox, dash, gauges, wheels, tool kit, door panels, floor pan, battery boxes, targa top, muffler skirt, Blaupunkt, rear seats and parcel shelf have been represented to us as original and appear so. All body panels are original 

Factory air conditioning was fitted to this car, however the compressor and blower have been removed and boxed up. They are included. The owners booklet & maintenance book (with a few stamps) are included. Our inspection report is available
