1974 Porsche 911

A solid example of an unmolested 1-owner Northern California 911. Produced in October, 1973 and sold new at California Porsche on Van Ness Blvd in San Francisco, it has remained with it's original owner since new. The car shows no sign of collision history, and is in very good mechanical condition. The vehicle did sit in covered outdoor storage for a long period over the past 15 years, so there is some patina and exposure related aging consistent with partial sun and weather exposure present. Chassis mileage is believed to be correct at approximately 70k. The Blau Metallish exterior has been resprayed in it's original color in the distant past, and currently suffers from clear coat fleck on the on the nose and rear bumper as well as some blistering around the windshield, drip rails, and rear window valence.

The engine is strong and mostly dry. Having been sourced from a '76 911S, it is a 911/82 variant with approximately 165hp. The upgraded 5-spd gearbox looks to have been sourced from the same donor vehicle. The car exhibits no smoke at startup, and accelerates and drives as it should showing no sign of diminished performance. The 915/44 gearbox shifts as it should with no sign of synchro wear, and the clutch engages smoothly and accurately. The CIS system seems to be dialed in with no fuel mixture related smoke, hesitation, etc.

The interior shows to originally be blue with black carpet. The rear seats, carpets, dash, door cards, etc. are original, however the two front seats have been recovered in Navy leatherette at some point in the past 20 years as their condition shows much less aging than the remaining interior bits. Dash, door cards, and vinyl bits do show some sun damage consistent with the rest of the car. The car was originally equipped with A/C, but like most of them of this vintage, is not in working order. An updated early 80's vintage Blaupunkt Denver SQR26 cassette stereo is present and works.

The 15" Fuch alloys are correct for the car and believed to be original, but have not been verified with date stamps. All glass with the exception of the windshield shows to be original, as well. Recent services include most rubber bits, belts, tires, etc. having been replaced. Essentially everything needed to make the car roadworthy has been replaced or repaired. The original California Blue license plates, service records, and manual ctoolkit, jack and spare are all present and convey with the vehicle.

Essentially, the car would make an excellent driver with some cool patina or the base for an excellent hotrod conversion.
