2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S

Presenting a stellar example of an Early Production 991 with only 45k miles. This Platinum Silver Carrera S was one of the original batch of 991's sent to dealer's prior to the official start of 991 production for 2013. The 2012 was a unique year, in that all of the vehicles essentially came in the same configuration with a few variances in options such as stereo system, wheels, colors, etc. The fixed configuration in 2012 was the 3.8 litre powerplant paired with the new 7-spd PDK gearbox and Sport Chrono Pkg (this particular vehicle has Sport Chrono Plus). Production numbers have not been published for the 2012 991, but there were effectively 2 units sent to each dealer in the US during February/March of 2012 with the sole purpose of display and demonstration until the 2013 models were released in the fall. Needless to say, 2012 production was very brief with production numbers measured in the 100's. Being a mostly fixed configuration, they were all very well equipped including standard equipment that later became paid options on later year models.

Known history of the vehicle: This particular unit was produced December 16, 2021 and placed in demo service at Porsche Tucson in February of 2012 then later sold in March of 2012. The vehicle resided with it's original owner until 2022, at which point it left Arizona for the San Diego area where it was purchased by us in June 2024. All service history is documented with receipts from Porsche Tucson, Carlbad Porsche, and Porsche San Diego, as well as a handful of Porsche independent receipts present.

The exterior of the vehicle was wrapped extensively in paint protection film upon delivery including all panels front of the windshield including the bumper, the front A-pillars, front edge of the roof line from windshield to the sunroof, and side mirrors (shown in photos below). The PPF film is of high quality with very little sign of sun exposure and no notable color change, and presents very well for having been installed at initial delivery. The vehicle finish is free of notable blemishes with no noticeable dents, dings, scratches, etc. The OEM 20" Carrera S Forged Alloys are free of scuffs with no sandblasting or pitting in the clearcoat. Tires were replaced with fresh Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on all four corners (fronts @ 38,947mi, and rears @ 42,250mi) with 8/32's remaining life. Additional PPF film was added to the rear bumper behind the wheels in November of 2021, and the OEM Rear Quarter Stone Guards were replaced with OEM replacements at the same time. Front and rear brake pads and sensors were replaced by Porsche Tucson at 30,951 miles and currently show 10mm of life on all 4 corners. Additionally, spark plugs were replaced by Porsche Tucson at 37,755 miles. An oil service, air filter service, drive belt replacement, and hood shock replacement were performed in preparation for sale. All factory VIN stamps are in place, and the vehicle shows no sign of collision or history of paintwork. The car is also completely stock with the exception of replacement OEM clear side markers and OEM wheel spacers.

Additional Factory options include: Burmester Audio System, Black Leather Sport Seats, Electric Sunroof, PASM Sport Suspension, Sport Chrono Plus Package, Sport Seats +, Sport Design Steering Wheel, and Voice Control. Options that were standard in 2012 that became paid options in subsequent years include: Black Alcantara Headliner, Bluetooth Phone Integration with Streaming Audio, Porsche Crest in Headrests, Extended Leather on the Dash and Door Panels, 6 disc CD changer, High Definition (HD Radio Receiver) Radio, Satellite Radio Receiver. In addition, Platinum Silver Metallic exterior was a $710 option. In all, MSRP was $117,115. Inexpensive by today's standards, but certainly not in 2012.

The interior shows incredibly well with the leather seating, door panels and dash remaining supple and without sun damage or abnormal wear. As with most 911's, the rear seats look to have never been used. Carpet and OEM floormats are free of fading, tattering, or wear in the pile. All options are functional, and switchgear is free of wear or fading on the printed surfaces. All glass shows to be original, as well.

The vehicle retains it's original Manuals as well as two master keys, original side markers, current California Legacy (Black) Plates, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a Clear and Clean Carfax showing 3 owners (Interesting Note: the 2nd and 3rd owners are best friends and neighbors), DME report with rev readouts, PPI report, and extensive service records dating back to December 2012.

Overall, this is a low production and high option Nine-Eleven that shows meticulous care and regular service. One could confidently rate this example in the Top 1% of 991's in existence.
